The above affirmation is one of my favorite reflections from the New Human Consciousness … I feel its essence and truth vibrating within me this morning as I head out to conquer a mountain or two on the local charity event, Cycle To Farm. Many of you might remember and even contributed to the t-shirt campaign last month to benefit local, organic farmers and their farms – and the day has finally arrived!
As the sun comes up over the mountains momentarily, 239 riders will be venturing into the North Carolina foothills and valleys for a 63 mile ride, start to finish. I picked up our packets last evening and there was a jovial camaraderie as bikers, volunteers and curious bystanders gathered round tables full of food and giveaways and gear for this big day. I think that moment is what began to pivot my mind and consciousness to the reflection above – the feeling of community, supporting one another and joining together for a cause. This is one of the truly magical things about life as reflected in this simple affirmation – that even when we find ourselves in moments of isolation and unsure of the path ahead – still we are always and ever – part of a greater community; a community of shared dreams and interests, values and hopes for the future. This is the wisdom piece we all carry within – that all of life, every experience and all beings are interconnected, an interwoven tapestry of humanity remembering its heart and commonalities more and more each day.
Today there is a small group representing the new tribe of humanity – if you are reading this – you are surely a part of that tribe… we will be riding for freedom, for authentic life and the desired future of a people joined together in harmony. Go out today and buy some local, organic produce and take a moment to hold up the intention of this ride. You may not have two wheels beneath you but we will carry you with us in spirit, sharing the grateful experience of this day with you all.
